Scent Story for Design In Scent

‘What remains of a woman when she is in the dark? When she has undressed, when we can no longer see her make-up, her wonderful hair, her beautiful eyes, when she’s taken off her jewellery, what is left? Only her charming voice and her perfume.’
– Jean-Paul Guerlain
I recently photographed for Design In Scent a house that makes beautiful haute couture perfumes and offers an olefactory service. We told the story of how a bride would find her signature scent and now the photographs have been published and are on my website.

Design in Scent has recently launched their bridal range creating ‘a luxurious collection of fragrances from which to choose, or a scent can be designed specifically for your social occasion. Alternatively, it is possible to embark on an exciting and very special journey into the secretive world of perfumery, and whether as an individual or a couple, have a signature scent tailored by one of the world’s leading couture perfumers.’

I thought I knew what beautiful perfume smelt like before I worked with Design In Scent…think again. I can see how Jean-Baptiste Grenouille mastered crowds with his scent.
